Hi. Yes I did a ca125 test, mine was also high (2246) I was actually in hospital at the time and being discharged when the consultant came and said I had to stay in for more tests and scans. It was a very worrying 24 hours but it was the endometriosis, cysts and what eventually turned out to be a full frozen pelvis that was causing the high numbers for me. It did drop after surgery but due to the endometriosis they say it will always be higher than the normal range. I know it’s hard but try not to panic, and you’re gp should have a plan as to what needs doing next. They did do an mri as well to be certain they weren’t missing anything. Good luck and if you need to chat just message as I understand how nerve racking it is. Xx

I had a CA125 test which was high, it tests for ovarian cancer, fybriods and endometriosis. I was then sent for loads more tests and scans which showed that I've got endometriosis. It's not a great way of testing for endometriosis but it seems to be the only way at the moment. Don't panic, see the gynae and take it from there. One step at a time...Good luck

It’s not a reliable test for cancer in women of reproductive age because various other things can cause the numbers to be raised, including endo and period-related inflammation. Don’t worry.

It’s my understanding that CA125 tests can be high “because of”endometriosis. Mine were raised and further tests (ultrasounds) turned out to be otherwise normal, (except showing fibroids) Try not to worry too much. If you’ve endo, you’ve enough on your plate anyway.

Sadly ca125 can be high because of endometriosis.

I had a C125 test. My gynae told me it’s normal to have a slightly raised level if you have endo. It’s good you’re seeing a gynaecologist as he/she can advise based on your level as we’re all different. Good luck.

Hi. I’m just back from my gynae and she did this test to try and rule out an ovarian cyst being cancerous but she said it’s not very reliable as endometriosis can raise the levels.
