After 3 failed attempts at finding a therapist who doesn’t just think endo is simply psychosomatic, I’m really struggling. Having suicidal ideations most days and would really like them to stop. I have endometriosis and adenomyosis, am on a temporary menopause and likely have CFS too. Does anyone know any therapists who ‘get’ it? Really struggling. Thanks X

Hi, I am sorry to hear you feel that way. It is awful, or better said terrible awful. Maybe i reccomend you go and talk to a therapist while you still search for a more specialised individual and get that initial help you need now.
A person-centred therapist might be better, they work from your frame of reference and never give opinion or advice. I think there are plenty of PC therapists if you search online for that modality. Have a look on the site below to see if you can find one to support you. Have a google of person centred, it may be the one that works as they validate your feelings and you really feel seen and heard. Sorry to hear you’re feeling this way and haven’t found some good support. I really hope you find someone to work with. Take care x
Hi I don’t have a recommendation as I’m in US but I wanted to reach out to tell you that you are definitely not alone. Please seek a therapist -it looks like you have some good advice here. It took me a couple try’s before I found a good fit. I actually got a referral from my primary physician after I had reached out to tell them I had suicidal thoughts. Turned out she herself is a fellow endo warrior. Totally “got it.” Understood medically induced depression. Helped with practical things like helping me search for further medical treatments for endo, encouraged using antidepressants (which helped) and of course most importantly she validated my feelings of what I am going through. Again though it took a few attempts and I almost have up. Really thought I would never find a good therapist. But persistence paid off. Best wishes to you
