I was diagnosed with endo at the end of January this year due to an emergency laparoscopy (ruptured cyst) but still haven’t seen a specialist to explain anything about my endo or even have my endo removed. I have noticed whenever I am due on or it is that time of the month, my sleeping is so messed up. Sometimes because of the pain but sometimes there’s no reason for it, I just get so restless and can’t seem to sleep.
Does anyone know if this is likely linked to my endo? Thank you x

Hi. I’m sorry your struggling so much. Burst cysts are absolutely horrendous. I actually have the opposite effect during my time of the month - I get exceptionally tired.
I would suggest ringing the clinic and asking for an appointment to talk with the consultant, explaining that you’ve had a laparoscopy and you have some follow-up questions. Also, ring your GP, they can often be very helpful in the interim.
We are often left hanging, not knowing what is going on with endo. I recommend having a set of questions ready to go - what’s wrong? How bad is it? What are the next steps?
Thank you for the message! Cysts are the worst aren’t they, I hope you’re doing okay x
It’s been such a mess since I had my surgery, I was told I would have a 4 week scan to check the cyst then I would be referred to see a specialist ASAP and have surgery again ASAP. So I had my scan, my ovaries are still stuck to my uterus and I still have a cyst. When I have spoken with the secretaries at the hospital, they’re just saying we can’t give time scales but I feel like I’m left in limbo and I have been waiting to have endo removed since March 2020. It’s just so tiring! I’ll definitely ring the secretaries again and see if they can arrange something for me.
