Ouch

Was rudely awoken with a sharp shooting pain above my belly button upto my diaphragm at 2.30 this morning, I have pain most times but this is the worst by far it scared me, I have no fever or usual appendix symptoms (I'm assuming its endo in this area getting worse). The pain died down and I was able to sleep but today it keeps coming and going not as extreme ....I am on my period at present so it would explain maybe, I m feeling nauseous with usual bad period cramp ontop of it .. .just wondering if this could be appendix or diaphragm endo ....anyone plz share experiences with either to put my mind at rest .

This is exactly where I was getting pain when it flared up and always when I was on my period. Taking painkillers helped it go away but the first time I ended up in hospital. Got so many checks endoscopy, colonoscopy but eventually laparoscopy confirmed it was Endo. I got this particular pain the first time shortly after having a baby and they think I might have adenomyosis too.

Yeah its died down today thank god it was awful can I ask where they found endo as I'm curious and awaiting laparoscopy for suspected bowel bladder and appendix I'm so fed up having to wait even longer as my mother had uterine cancer inside deep endometriosis so it scares the hell out of me

Oh that is scary-you poor thing. I had a lap with the doctor who delivered by kids. He said it’s probably stage 3 and is more complex than he could deal with so referred me to a specialist. He didn’t remove anything during the lap. He said my womb was stuck to my bowel, I’d a blockage in my Fallopian tube, a fibroid and polyps so lots going on. He didn’t say exactly where the Endo was though. He described my womb as being swollen. I have been put on decapeptyl and was to have surgery in Jan but it got cancelled cause of Covid so I’m going in in three weeks.

Yeah alot going on for you and even worse when you had a date and it was cancelled as you want things sorted asap. I'm almost sure its bowel endo as is the dr. I'm constantly constipated I have a good diet and take meds to help me go but during my period it is a battle to go lol I bleed from bottom only during period and have an almost constant pain where my ileum colon is located also nausea all made worse during period my bladder also hurts when full during period and I have troubles going during period also blood in urine between period, I dont have fever or chills or losing weight unexpectedly and had bloods and scans to check for other things my kidney area on both sides give me pain during period and I have a limp at the same time with appendix pain I just want things to start opening like many others, I feel things could be developing while were waiting to be seen and then they have to deal with backlogs it's a total nightmare for many atm :/
