Levest pill?
Hi, I haven’t used Levest but I was successfully on Loestrin 30 (ethinylestradiol 30 micrograms and norethisterone 1.5 mg) for many years. It says that it is particularly good for heavy and irregular periods and I found it really helped me. It controlled my endo well for the first 15 years on a single packet then break pattern and then I had a bad flare-up so I increased it to 3 packets and then 6 for a bit to get it back under control. Unfortunately early last year it became unavailable in the UK and there was no direct alternative. I was given Gederel (ethintlestradiol & desogestrel) instead but the change in progesterone caused me to have side effects I never had with Loestrin.

It looks like the major issue is blood clots (as with most of the pills). If you are under 35 with an active lifestyle and a healthy BMI you should be fine.
Hi, I got put on Levest at new year as they wont prescribe me Loestrin anymore. I'm running it through each month as doctors suggestion and am now on month 3- So far I've had mood swings, loads of breakthrough bleeding (almost constant for the last few weeks!) and some cramping but nothing like as bad as usual with Stage4 endo. I have missed a couple pills which could have caused the bleed/cramping, but im sceptical. So far this pill isnt being great for me! It's better than being off it, but at the same time I found Loestrin better. How are you finding it?
