Does anyone else have mobility issues due to endometriosis/ cysts/ fibroids?

Hi ladies,

I have not been able to walk far for 4 months now, I can’t even get to the end of my street without being in agony. I still don’t have a diagnosis but I was wondering if anyone else has mobility problems and what diagnosis you have had? After reading online that some ladies have wheelchairs because they can barely walk for endometriosis, I’m wondering if I should get myself one so that I can at least return to work. I’ve also started getting pain that feels as through it’s coming out the side of my right hip. Any suggestions of what this might be would be so helpful.

Thank you for any help xx

Hi

Have you spoken to your doctor or consultant?

Just keep pestering them, to get you referred, or or a scan or MRI.

I have severe endo and fibroids. Its got so bad, when I was in hospital, I was unable to move. I felt paralysed by the pain. I just like you have alot of pain in the right hip, which effects my lower back and leg.

I used a zimmer frame in hospital to move around, now I have a walking stick, due to my right upper leg feels weaker, due to the excruciating pain.

Still trying to adjust. I'm desperate to get back to work, but I'm struggling with getting the pain under control and feel exhausted sometimes.

I hope you get an answer soon 🙂

Hi, thank you so much for your reply. I had my MRI scan the other day so I’m just waiting for a response from the gynaecologist. I don’t have a direct number for the department so I can’t contact them to ask for my results sadly. I’m so sorry that you’re having so much pain. It sounds very similar to the pain that I have. I have to get back to work soon or I’ll lose my job sadly. So I was thinking a wheelchair would help, at least I can move around more easily.

Ring your doctor, sometimes the results will go there and the can explain it to you.I do wish you the best....I do know how you feel on the work front. I am lucky my employers are understanding and supportive.

Just keep on pestering them and don't give up....message anytime, this place is a great platform for support.

I’ve struggled with mobility for 4 years! It’s bad! It used to be back pain for me, chronic daily, want to throw up back pain.. But after excision surgery it become chronic sciatica! I often get out paced by pensioners and coming down stairs is like risking death!

Is there a cure? God, not found one yet! I am surprised the NHS just leave patients who can’t walk, but to be fair, that’s not a red flag symptom so goes ignored!

Xx
