Hi all, I had a laparoscopy and removal of ovarian cysts and endo in September. For the last 3 months I’ve been pretty much pain free, it’s been great. However this month bad stomach and pelvic pain is back - I’m gutted. Does this mean the endo has grown back already?
Since Sept I’ve also gone through my first round of IVF which was sadly unsuccessful. Could the IVF meds have had an affect on the endo?
Oh I’m sorry you’re going through this. You know I have wondered how IVF would affect my endo too (we’re looking at starting IVF in 6 months if the Clomid doesn’t work) I did read on an IVF clinics website that they used a different “more gentle” IVF treatment for endo patients to lessen the effects on endo, and it did startle me. Have you had any advice from an endo specialist?
Not had any advice from an endo specialist as I ended up paying to have my lap and removal of endo privately as NHS couldn’t even give me a timescale. My case was closed with the NHS so wouldn’t know who to ask?
I’ve got an appointment in a couple of weeks back at the IVF clinic, as we hope to start round 2 at end of Feb, so will have to see what they advise.

Yes ivf meds can make endo worse apparently there's this natural kind of ivf which is supposed to be better
