I had a laparoscopy in 2013, the surgeon said I had endometriosis which he lasered off and also adhesions.
I didn’t think anything of it until we started ttc. Luckily I fell pregnant naturally on only the second month, but this ended with my son being stillborn at 26 weeks.
We have been ttc our second baby with no luck and have just been referred to a fertility clinic. I’m convinced that my endometriosis is causing infertility and I also get acute pain in my right ovary throughout my cycle which may be cysts?
Plus the more I think about it I wonder if endometriosis can cause stillbirth because our son’s death is unexplained, he was completely healthy and my pregnancy was low risk.
Does anyone have any experience and can advise?

Sorry for your loss and the difficulties you’ve had. I can’t offer any direct help, could only suggest researching an endo specialist who is also interested in fertility. Your GP can refer you to any gynaecologist, it doesn’t have to be the nearest hospital, it’s just a bit more work for them.Hope you get some help soon 🙂
Moon_maiden thank you for taking the time to reply to me. The surgeon who did my laparoscopy in 2013 is also a specialist in infertility and recurrent miscarriage, so I’m hoping I’ll be referred to him by the fertility clinic, but he isn’t BSGE registered.
Personally I think experience can be better than a registration, not everyone will have opted to go that route. More hassle to contend with. If you trust them and their knowledge that’s the main thing. You can ask the fertility clinic to refer to them specifically.
