I had my diagnostic lap yesterday and when my doctor came round he said that he found superficial endo and inflammation (not sure on the details yet though)
However, on my discharge papers under diagnosis it just says ‘pelvic pain’
Does this mean I don’t have endo even though he found some?
Thanks x

How are you feeling? If he told you there was endo, it must have been there, it doesn’t sound like he’s specialised. Discharge info can be hit or miss, you should get a follow up letter. You can also request your hospital records, should be a link on their website.
Did he say if he treated endo or was it purely a look see?
Give yourself plenty of time to recover, it might not look much but your insides will have been disrupted 🙂
I’m okay thank you, just quite sore. Yeah he said he found a lot of inflammation with superficial endo but he didn’t say where or anything. I have a follow up appointment in 6 weeks to discuss what to do next.
No he just looked around and said it wouldn’t be practical to ablate the endo he did find & to go back to hormonally treating it with the pill.
Glad you aren’t feeling too bad. The consultant before lap told me he always treats if it’s there, made sense to me. I’ve not had a huge amount of personal experience of laps, that one and hysterectomy with excision of endo.
There are so many different views about treatment.
Keep a list of questions that you think of, it comes in handy. 🙂
