I'm currently on Zoladex injections and Tibolone, awaiting a hysterectomy. I had my 5th injection last week. I haven't heard anything from the hospital about my hysterectomy operation date. Just getting worried that im going to get to the 6th injection and still not heard anything.
How long did people have to wait for a operation date?
Im aware COVID-19 has changed everything and i don't want pester the doctors or hospital.

Hi Lorraine, I waited 4 months under normal circumstances, and I too was on a course of Zoladex. Try not to worry too much as you can have another 6 mth course but must have a 3mth break in between. I had Zoladex over 2.5yrs, sometimes a 3,6 or 9 mth course with a short break in between. Hope u hear soon x
Hi Lorraine, I am currently waiting for a hysterectomy too. Due to covid I have waited a year now! I am just in pain lots, it’s really quite debilitating! I’m on gonapeptyl injections now, had 2 months worth so far....but my symptoms haven’t been much better apart from no bleeding. How have you been on them?
I was on pro-strap and tibolone. I had 4 injections was due to have my op in June but it got cancelled due to Covid. So the consultant told me to stop the injections for now till I have a date for the op. I would contact your consultant
Hi Lorraine I was on Zoladex as well and had my 3rd injection and stopped as I was meant to have surgery and now they have put it back twice I haven’t been having any more injections. I’m not even sure if I was supposed to just stop but if my operation gets put back again I’m going to have to ask what I should do as I could have another 3 I’m just slightly nervous about it. Hope you hear from the hospital soon.
Hi Lorraine,I am due my 13th zoladex injection next week. I was due to have surgery Apr/May, although never had a fixed date, but Covid happened. I haven't heard anything from the hospital and still haven't had a date. I called them when I was about to have my 6th injection and was just told to keep having them.
My GP and the practice nurse are getting a little concerned as time leaps on, so they have decided to chase the hospital as I seem to get nowhere when I call the consultant's secretary. I'm still waiting to hear if the GP got any information. In complete limbo and feel helpless and forgotten by the hospital.
I hope all of us that are in this situation get some information soon and the help we need.
Hi Lorraine I was told in June the wait for my hystrectomy was 6 months - 8 months , I have had 7 injections of Depectyl and Tibolone for my bones. My gp contacted the consultant and said I was fine to carry on until the op. I have a follow up appointment on the 1st Dec. Pesky Covid holding things up I believe. X
