I due to have surgery soon.

For just over the last week I have been so poorly, in so much pain and really struggling.

They only thing I eat is soup because I am diabetic so have to eat something and even that makes me feel sick.

My stomach is huge and I'm so miserable :(

I have got some peppermint tea in this evening's shopping, so hoping that might help.

I didn't know it had a name till the other day and someone told me. I just knew I walked around feeling like a giant hippo.

Heya,

So sorry you’re in so much discomfort.

I used to get endo belly and there was nothing I could do to get rid of it and I would only have it on days 1-3 of my period. I just used to wear loose clothing and ride it out. I did drink green tea too but tbh it didn’t make any difference.

I’m now on the pill so don’t have periods and don’t get endo belly anymore.

Would you consider contraceptive to stop your periods whilst you wait for surgery?

In theory once you have your surgery and they get rid of the endo tissue you shouldn’t get it anymore.

I’m sorry I don’t have any advice.

Hope you get your surgery date soon xx

My husband and I were just talking about this yesterday. I have looked 6 months pregnant when when I was 110 lbs (now closer to 190). I finally was able to combat this in the past couple of years. A big part of it for me was changing my diet. I have eliminated sugar (except fruit sugars), gluten/wheat, dairy, corn and soy. I highly recommend reducing as much processed food and eat as organic as you can. It’s not easy and it’s not something that instantly will fix it. I found surgery didn’t do anything really for the bloating. It was more the diet changes I made. I also recommend iberogast if you have digestive issues, I found the bloating was somewhat in line with my diarrhea issues. It’s an all natural supplement that works for diarrhea and constipation. It’s whole thing is to return proper motility regardless if you have constipation or diarrhea. It’s a natural supplement made by bayer in the 1950s, there’s 9 different herbs I believe. But this and the diet changes (plus surgery in February) got rid of most of my digestive issues. Hang in there. 💕

Hi, I saw big improvement after going on anti-inflammatory diet (no gluten, diary, red meat, processed foods, and refined sugar). I was almost GF at that time due to family members being celiac. I cheated occasionally that is why I said almost:) I have never been fan of processed foods either, so my transition was somewhat easier than for other people. I noticed changes within 2-3 months: more energy and bloating only when I have sever pain. In my case I do not have it often. Give it a try.

If i bake I use a little of maple syrup. I eat more fish now. And oh my there are so many yummy recipes out there.

downshiftology.com/ I found couple of weeks ago this website. I am trying recipes from there now. Peach smoothie is amazing!

I hope you will feel better soon!
