I have been suffering with extremely heavy bleeding so bad I’m now taking iron tablets - (I went through a box of tampax in day sometimes ) Severe take your breath away pain, where you feel like your going to die with my periods for years - although it is getting worse.
I can’t do anything except lie there with a hot water bottle, which doesn’t help. Naproxen doesn’t touch it, Iv even tried tramadol it doesn’t touch the pain.
It’s took 2 years to conceive my daughter.
I have recently had a ultra sound (internal and external ) it didn’t show anything.
My bloods have came back fine.
I’m 32 and otherwise healthy, I just wanted to get your thoughts on how I can find out about diagnosed, the nurse said she thinks it could be endometriosis but I will like confirmation.
Thanks for listening!
Thoughts and comments appreciated!

Hi, I am new here too. If you can get ur GP to refer u to a Gynecologist, that would be step 1. This kind of period pain is not normal. I had the same exact type of pains. You need to get an MRI as ultrasound, bloodworks show nothing. I have stage 4 endo and they showed nothing. Only in an MRI will it show anything if in the correct position. If your gynecologist is good they will know by your symptoms. You need to be persistent and insist on an MRI and if u can do a private consultation with a gynecologist who is a specialist in treating endo and then ask them to see u through NHS. I did that aswell, which cut down the wait time by half. I hope this helps. If u need to chat, msg me anytime, good luck hun, you are not alone and your pain is real and is not normal and needs to be addressed ASAP xx
Thanks so much for your message and Advice I really appreciate it! I have a doctors appointment Wednesday so I will ask them about MRI. Your right, reading my own thing made me realise how bad and abnormal it is!
I’m going to try and be firm! Also here if you need a chat anytime! XX
Thank you! I really hope it all works out and you are on the road to a proper diagnoses. Its mentally draining to go through so much pain and then feel like ur not being strong enough or the pain isn't actually as bas as ur making it out to be by what the doctors etc make it sound like without proper diagnoses. Xx
