Hi i was diagnosed in unique way . They thought i had colon cancer so i was on fast track cancer list. Did a colonoscopy only to discover a tumour like ball in my colon. After biopsy turned out to be endometriosis. Symptoms are extreme pain!! Chronic constipation , vomiting, back and leg pain. Chronic fatigue, weight loss, pelvic pain. The list can go on.
At lap the consultant discovered deep endo, but he thought symptoms after with digestion too extreme for endo and I had a CT colonoscopy in June as fast track, but was clear. Still none the wiser re symptoms , I’ve seen the endo specialist and now waiting for hysterectomy (fibroids mainly) and removing further endo.
How much weight have you lost? Mine is just over three stone since December.
Im meant to be on fast track for surgery. Hoping for surgery in november or december. It will be excision surgery. You said you were already in menopause age right? Are they giving u any treatment or pain management while u wait. Im quite slim already so when i lost half a stone i looked very sickly. Im slowly gaining it back.
Weight loss can feel odd, I understand what you mean. I’ve gone from size 16/18 to ten.
I’m on various and tried others, amitriptyline, had this a couple of months, recently increased, which I think is helping. Also Oramorph and Tramadol depending on day. Did tidying and moving things in sheds and setting up racking. Abdomen was not happy after 😂, Oramorph to try and settle it.
Technically should have hit menopause, consultant hoped that Zoladex would bring on natural menopause. I can’t tell yet as only finished Zoladex six weeks ago. A GP said I should get used to UTI and kidney stones at my age and offered HRT last year, she went huffy when I said I still had periods. 🤣
Wow that is serious weight loss. Mine happens because of my period. I can't eat solid foods for at least 2 days and then I'm constipated for like 10 days, im not eating properly. Zoladex to my knowledge doesnt bring on natural menopause. Its a temporary menopause that lasts either 4 weeks or 3 months depending on the injection. Hmm very interesting the different info we get from our gps
Constipation for so long isn’t good for you. You can run a risk of infection with a build up of waste. There are natural laxatives such as senna or prunes. I take Laxido and lactulose. At the moment I’m trying not taking them, I do this occasionally, it normally fails.
The consultant hoped the Zoladex might kick start menopause because of my age, it wouldn’t on a normal basis. The symptoms could possibly ease naturally if it did.
