Endo is coming back after 4 months after failed IVF
Does anyone have any feedback going through anything like this ?
The progesterone meds I think decreased it. Does anything impact it coming back ? ☹️
Thank you 🙏

So endometriosis is chronic meaning it won’t ever 100% be gone, but you can achieve remission The only way to achieve this is surgery and to have a specialist wide excision surgeon remove it all, the wide excision means they are careful to take cells around the endo cells so the percentage chance of recurrence is about 15% the only way it would be back is if the surgeon missed some.
The other method used are to suppress the cycle to slow down painful flares, this can work for some people and buy some time prior to surgery.
But surgery is gold standard for the condition, you can help fee better with an anti inflammatory diet, lifestyle changes etc. X
Thank you so much
I had 4 1/2 hour Lap op 2 years ago atage 2/3
This last period have seen flare up with passing large clots with some pain.
Took me years to get the operation I don’t think the NHS will do it again?
Thanks
Spelling is awful, but hope that makes sense
Hello Missionofendo. It’s absolutely normal it’s coming back (even maybe harder) after the hormonal stimulation as endométrioses is hormone driven. It happened to me as well when I froze my eggs last year and it took me months to recover.
My endo is deep but “superficial”, meaning I am not a candidate at all for surgery. The treatment for me is cycle suppression as mentioned via artificial menopauses (Decapeptyl) as the pill didn’t work out either, but it’s not sufficient on its own to suppress the pain and can not be used too long.
I recommend too anti-inflammatory nutrition along with Osteopathy, swimming or at least regular walking if you can, acupuncture, and prescription pain killers.
Hang in there it’s a long journey but with a strong mindset and resilience you will get there 🤗
