So I have been waiting soo long now to know more about what is going on with my body after having a scan done over a month ago to see the development of one cyst I was told by the nurse there is now another one in my other ovary. A month on from the scan I call the hospital to get the results from my consultant and they haven’t even looked at them yet.
With all the pain with my cysts and the possible endo as well I am really struggling to cope. I am waiting for a laparoscopy which they plan on taking the cysts out then.
But I’m not being listened to and am tired and can’t cope with being in pain like I am it’s stopping me from getting on with my day to day life. Not only that my mental health is also going down hill.
I am thinking about changing doctors completely and just seeing if I have a better experience there.
What do you guys think? I understand with COVID-19 everything is very difficult and the hospitals are under a lot of pressure but with my cysts getting worse and the possible endo my body can’t cope.

Totally understand how you feel. Have you spoken to your GP, they can contact the Gynaecologist on your behalf and find out what’s happening. You need to ask them to mark it as urgent. Is the consultant generally ok? Changing now will likely cause more delays.
What pain relief are you doing? I’ve recently started amitriptyline, too soon to tell if it’s working. Some of mine is nerve pain though.
It’s incredibly hard to deal with because of the delays due to covid.
So I have tried lots of different pain relief. The last one I had was tramadol but that made me feel horrendous even after taking it for over a month. It definitely is a difficult situation as far a I am aware my consultant is well. Xx
With the consultant I should have said do you get on ok with them, sorry, wasn’t very clear 🙂 if you do, and they are experienced, worth trying to find out timeline rather than change.
That’s the problem with medication, works for some, it does depend on the type of pain. I’m hoping the amitriptyline will work on the abdominal nerves.
I have had limited success with Oramorph, but takes a while to work.
