Despite suffering with horrendous pain for years I have only recently been diagnosed with Endo. I literally thought that every girl my age was in constant agony so didn’t really think anything of it.
Now I know however, I’m having real trouble getting my head around the fact that this will never go away and there’s no cure. I’ve had a bad flare up today and I’m just having a really hard time accepting that this pain is just going to be part of my life and I need to learn to live with it.
Any tips on how to work this through my brain? I’ve also recently been diagnosed with PCOS and Borderline Personality Disorder and I’m having similar issues with that.
I hope you’re all well x 💛

I too thought my heavy periods and pain were going to be part of life it was not until I developed another symptom that I went to my GP and referred to a Gynae. Then started the meds had to try a few before finding the best one. All I will say is never give up there will be something out there to ease your pain and by doing that your mind will ease. Take care
The treatment you receive may mean the pain will be managed, don’t lose hope on that at this stage. Has your GP given you decent pain relief until
Not quite sure what you mean about personality disorder, is that similar to something like autism? There are self referral talking therapies, there will be practitioners who specialise, or your GP can refer.
It’s hard to get your head round long term conditions at times
Hi, it can't be cured but can be managed. There are lots of little changes you can do that added together make it more easy to live with. Firstly ask your female relative about their periods and their experiences, it tends to run in the family. Also keep a record of your symptoms /feelings. This is always helpful when speaking to the doctor. Don't be hard on yourself, it's accepting this condition and talking to friends and family is good. You can look into the best food types to eat and exercise such as yoga /pilates. Meditation is helpful and different contraception can also help.
You aren't alone, more women are getting diagnosed all the time and there are support groups too. Take care xxx
