Hi folks, hope everyone is doing not too bad. I'm wondering if anyone has seen any fairly recent stats on how many women in the UK (broken down into the 4 regions) have endometriosis, and what percentage of them have Stage IV, D.I.E., RV endometriosis. If it's+-5% or if the stats don't exist. I suspect the stats don't exist....but thought this would be a good place to ask!

No can't say I have but I am sure if you get in touch witj Endometriosis UK they maybe able to tell you
I read somewhere it was only 3% of women with endo have stage 4 die and only 26% altogether have stages 3 & 4. I will try find it later on.
It would be helpful if it was more common knowledge as a lot of people just say “oh loads of people have that, it’s nothing”. So ignorant & infuriating! Xx
Hi I don't think women can die from it as its a long term condition but there is a small increased risk of endometrial cancer and possibly ovarian cancer but they don't research it much. Have you asked the women in your maternal line about their experiences? It's something doctors are looking into more as women delay or don't have babies now more than ever. I know a lot of women who have been misdiagnosed with irritable bowel when it's actually endo! Plus we are living longer so that's an unknown too. Endometriosis UK are really good and nz and USA websites have some research into endo too xx
Hi newstart2020,
