Hi,

Yes I was diagnosed with endo on my diaphragm. I feel cyclical pain just under my ribcage.

The improvements I made to my diet and lifestyle have helped a bit so feel free to message me if you want to know more.

Take care

Hi, Thanks for reply

I suffer shoulder pain every month since gallbladder surgery late last year. This month it has went on for longer and also had pain under ribcage. What improvements did you make.

It had to do with my diet. I reduced gluten, dairy, sugar and included lots of kale, spinach, carrot, brocolli, cauliflower and zucchini into my diet. I also started taking supplements like magnesium, selenium and cod liver oil. Also, monitor and track your symptoms so you can go and speak to your doctor about it. Message me if you need to talk more.

This is a really late reply but I’ve just come across this post and was wondering if you were any further forward with answers?

I’m asking as I’ve recently been diagnosed with deep Endo on my pod and uterosacral ligaments however 4 years ago I had my gallbladder removed due to a sharp pain I get right in the centre at the top of my rib cage/just under breasts which was ongoing for about 5 years before they decided to take my gallbladder out. Admittedly I did have a gallstone but surely one tiny gallstone wouldn’t cause that pain, I had total mixed messages from several gps and consultants and none of which were confident it was the gallstone causing it but they just said ah well let’s take it out and see (suppose it’s the easy option as it isn’t needed) the pain never went anyway and now I’m leaning towards it being linked to the Endo but didn’t know how they would pick this up?

So sorry for the extremely long post!!! X

Hi

Unfortunately my gynae appointment was cancelled due to covid but my gp is pretty sure that's what I have as I have a lot of endo due to cyst bursting. My original endo was diagnosed through laparoscopy. I too had gallbladder and stones removed but it seems to have made it worse. Sorry to hear u are in a lot of pain

Ah that’s rubbish! Yeah mine was diagnosed through lap. I’ll be honest no gp or consultant thought that I had Endo it was purely my own research and persistence that I got the lap and diagnosis. I thought the pain I get higher up would be caused by something that is located higher up if that makes sense but I am no expert!

It’s such an awful illness isn’t it. I’ve now been in constant daily pain for almost 2 years. The other pain I’ve had for roughly 8 years or so now. Just can’t cope with being in daily pain, I can’t walk properly, roughly 10 mins very slow walking I’m done and can barely move the rest of the day. Hope you get tour appointment soon x

Sorry to hear you are in so much pain, that's awful. Thankfully I am nowhere near that. Hope you get sorted soon.

Hi,

It could be related to diaphragmatic endo as many have shoulder pain as a result. My diagnosis was during surgery that they confirmed they saw endo spots on my diaphragm. I think you should ask to be referred to a BSGE centre where they have more know-how regarding more complex endometriosis.

Hope you feel better xxx
