Help and advise please?!

Hi Ladies, so I haven't been diagnosed with endometriosis but I've had signs and symptoms of it. I used to get ovarian cysts a lot when I was younger as my periods are really heavy (and I mean REALLY HEAVY, like taking days off school and work because of it) and I had a hormonal imbalance. I have had 2 laporoscopys when I was 16 and 18 to look for endometriosis and Dr's could only find cysts on my ovaries. The pain settled down for a little while as I got pregnant and ended up miscarrying. It's been 3 years since my pregnancy and pain has flared up again. I have been off my food all week, feeling really bloated, dizzy and sick and then Friday night I had a sharp stabbing pain that took my breath away and made me dizzy and sick, I started sweating and could not get comfortable. The pain went all the way through my lower abdomen to my back on the right side. The sharp pain settled down after a little while but I still have a constant pain (like a period pain but no period), I have pain when I have sexual intercourse which is why I'm now single I can't stand it, leading up to my period I have pain and urgency when urinating, my bowels go from constipation to loose. I have been on the implant for 1 year and a half now and that caused me to have prolonged bleeds up to 9 weeks at a time and the blood that came out was like a brown stringy gooey blood. I phoned the doctors and let them know of my previous history with cysts and that I'm due on a period (still not started), I'm not pregnant and don't have urine infection or anything like that as these results all came back negative. The doctor basically told me "if it gets worse contact 111" as if she wasn't bothered or was passing it off as period pain. I'm now 24 and left with no answers. Help and advise please?

Hi Northernbelle,

I'm sorry you've been through so much already. All your symptoms sound so similar to mine, including the sudden sharp stabbing pain, dizzyness and nausea. Now I'm in almost constant pain.

I was diagnosed in January but gotta wait til May until I see my first specialist... in the meantime what are us suffers supposed to do? Its so frustrating!

My advice to you is see another doctor for a second opinion.

Thank you Miss Marlene. I understand the frustration I mean I even told the doctor I feel my symptoms are those of endometriosis and the cysts I got when I was younger was maybe an early warning sign? It just felt as if she wanted to go home with it being a Friday and just passed it off as period pain. However, I feel I will push with a second opinion. Thank you Xx
