Hello everyone, I’m currently in my 3rd year of university studying Fashion Design. My project is based around my experience with endometriosis and how the doctors made me feel - especially the male doctors. I wondered if any of you would be able to tell me how your experience was and how did you find the male doctors dealt with it (because of the gender pain gap too). Also anything in regards to your mental and physical well-being will help with my research! Thank you in advance xx

Hi I’m reply to your response , I actually found the male doctors to be much more understanding than the female doctors, the male doctors actually attempted to help me and find a solution for my problem, where as the female doctors treated me as though I had a mental issue or I was over exaggerating my pain . I was told to see a psychiatrist many times and offered alternative medicines to look at, where as the male doctors referred be continuously to gyno, urology and put me on the pill etc . I was misdiagnosed for 3 years . The only woman that helped me was my amazing doctor who performed my laparoscopy, as soon as I told her I was out of work Becuase of my pain she booked me into surgery xx
