Cycle frustration - what is going on

I am SO frustrated - I had excision surgery in March and it all went well, I’ve recovered well and mostly pain free with the odd day or two of pain . I am trying to conceive again with no luck as yet but I never expected it to be easy as my last took 2 1/2 years but my cycles have been strange.

March 30-apr 28-may 39-June 29- July 28-aug 22-sept 25 and currently waiting for period to show this month, 2 days late and negative pregnancy test.

I have had really painful breasts this time round - no other period symptoms at all. No spotting which I normally get aswell, I also did 10 opk tests from cd 9 and never got a positive this month til I gave up on cd 19 and decided I wasn’t going to do any more.

Do you think it’s just an odd cycle this month??

Sounds like an odd cycle to me.

I would say there are 2 possible scenarios

1) it's an anovulatory cycle, it happens to everyone occasionally

2) you ovulated much later than usual, after day 19.

I think option 2 is more likely because your period is late, but who knows! I don't blame you for giving up on OPKs after day 19. At some point you just think life is too short to be doing this, enough is enough.
