So drained and tired plus irritated

Okay so been on my period 7 days now and I'm so tired and drained its unbelievable how long this period is normally I'm off on day 8 but it's not stopping at the moment and I cant stand it this week in all has been the worse for me I dknt know when my period is gna be over but I hope its the last whiles on prostap3 cause I can't deal with the next one if it does happen! If it does the gyne is gna have to do something better for me as it will indicate the injection isnt for me and doesn't work! I'm trying my best to get through this period but im at the point of not caring and depression is hitting me now I'll be going to my socs next week to sort this mess out if it's not OFF even if they give me norethisterone or summit to get it to go away I'll be happy again if anyone is going the ought he same situation please let me know cheers x

Hi I know exactly how you feel I was constantly drained and weekends were a washout cause I just slept all the time. I was on iron tablets and multi vitamins. I tried the injection but it didn’t work for me instead of stopping me bleeding I bled for longer the longest time being 17 weeks. After bleeding for 38 weeks out of 52 I had a hysterectomy. Unfortunately they found a cyst and endo which are still causing me pain so I’m looking at another op 😔

I wasn't diagnosed with endometriosis I was just given the injection of prostap3 for my heavy prolonged periods to stop them but honestly I dont think it's going to work even though my gyne said I will still get a period for this month and shouldn't get anymore after.......I dout it tbh I know how my body reacts and atm this period has been 8/9 days long starting from the 7th Sept as well I'm so annoyed irritated and tired with it and especially wearing pads for this long

Have you tried tranexamic acid? Mine were very heavy and lasted weeks and this stops them at 5 days and I can actually leave the house. xxx

p.s. I have adenomyosis so you may want to look into that x
