I have PMDD, cysts and probably endo. Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with them? I have a lap on September 18tg to look for endo. If I have it and they remove it will that help the PMDD? Also I've been reading a lot of these post and most say they've had problems for years. I never did. Until May 2018 I never had any problems with my period not even mild pms. I mean literally no symptoms other than bleeding. Then it all changed over night to constant bleeding, severe pain, and serious depression and anxiety and pretty much every other pmdd symptom. Is that normal? Did anybody else's problems come out of nowhere? Any info would help. I need to know if dealing with the Endo or cysts or whatever could possibly help my PMDD. Or if there is anything else that can help it. I literally feel as if I am going insane. If anyone knows anything that could possibly help I'd love to hear it. Thanks

Hi, I just wanted to say I'm the same as you in terms of things seemed to come out of nowhere. I was travelling the world in 2016, had an abnormal smear test when I got back and it was since my LLeTZ that everything went crazy. Things almost changed overnight too, I was constantly in hospital and then diagnosed with Stage IV endo after a laparoscopy. I've been housebound since and had multiple excision surgeries but having real trouble with RV endo and the cyclical symptoms. I'm now considering having ny ovaries out (have had hysterectomy) as need to get some quality of life back. I can link a few things back to when I came off the pill about 5 years ago but my real issues came about after the LLeTZ. So I don't really have any help to offer sorry, I just wanted to share that I'm in the same boat as things turning from one extreme to the other as that seems quite unusual.

Did you have a laparoscopy and did they find endo? X

Thank you for responding. Yeah I had the lap and they found and removed quite a bit of Endo. Unfortunately after, the combo birth control pill started rasing my blood pressure so i can't take it anymore. And my symptoms are back to being debilitating. Doc says it will take time for the endometriosis surgery to take effect. How long did it take yours to help? My docs thinking about putting me in to chemically induced menopause to help my pmdd.

Sorry for the delay in replying. It does take time after surgery to heal in terms of months rather than weeks but your symptoms shouldn't be debilitating after surgery. I was only told the first month can be worse as your body is trying to have a period when you have hundreds of stitches inside. It's a good idea to try the chemical menopause but it's different for everyone and you will read some positives that have said it's life changing and also horror stories. For me I ve been on the injections the last 4 months but I'm not having any menopausal side effects and am still getting endo flares so don't think it's working properly. Good luck for whatever you decide to do but if your symptoms are debilitating a couple of months post surgery that doesn't sound right xx
