I had like a pulling sensation from my uterus to my back - like something pulling backwards especially during my period, along with lower back pain. The area (sort of) also hurt during deep sex. . There aren't many direct symptoms since we can't really identify it, as in it's not like the bladder which you can feel pain there but once I was explained what the ligament does I started to notice what symptoms could be linked to it. Basically it holds the uterus upright by attaching to uterus and sacrum, there are two, left and right.

I know that after my lap to excise endo from my [left] uterosacral ligament I had some lower back / sacrum aches. My endo specialist and movement physio suggested it was because the ligament can be loosened / tightened as a result of surgery and sometimes that changes the postion so the body can take a while to adapt back to normal - especially if it's been affected by endo for a while as we compensate through the months and years so the "bad" posture becomes normal.

I hope that makes sense x

I have endometriosis on my USL. (Felt during pelvic exam) and my surgeon is confident i have it on pelvic sidewall, bladder and bowel. I'm having an MRI due to lumps on back wall of vagina which could be rectovaginal endo and am having a cytoscopy during my excision surgery to look into bladder symptoms. So some of this may muddle up with symptoms directly linked to the USL.

Periods - always heavy. Could soak through a super plus tampon in an hour on day 1 of period. Quite clotty. Period pain would be deep low and always radiate into my buttocks and down my legs. Always thoughts that this was odd but an US 13 years ago came back normal so i assumed this was ok.

Started to get a deep pain during deep sex. To the point that I'd start to adjust my position to avoid it. This site is where my gynae felt nodules and thickening.

For about 6 months i had started to get pain in my tailbone. If i sat for longer thsn 5/10mins when i stood up the pain would radiate from my tailbone out across my sacrum.

Heaviness in pelvis, pulling across back.

Over the last 4 months ago pain has been much more intense in hips, like a grinding. During periods i get hot poker like stabbing pains.

Along with fatigue, weakness and bouts of nausea.

I hope that helps

Yes hun, I haven’t been able to walk further than gate at home easily since January 2018, as ligaments seem to lock and get deep pain in hips, my organs are stuck together also. However, a lovely lady replied on this site & said that post op she has had sports massage therapy and now she is back to doing yoga and moving better again.

It seems to affect everyone in different ways.

Keep your faith endo warrior x

Around 67% of women with endo have it on the utero-sacral ligaments or have thickened utero-sacral ligaments. It's extremely common and almost a certain clinical indicator.

It causes (in my case) severe pain on the sacrum (so in the area below the lower back and above the anus).

It is more common is your uterus is tilted or retroflexed.

Arvigo massages can help with that, along with walking and swimming (on your back or freestyle)
