Hi All ...

Beginning of March I had my second surgery.

My first surgery (March 2018) was to remove two chocolate cysts in each ovary.

They investigated also in this surgery and found serve endometriosis and my left tube was blocked.

I then was put on zoladex which to begin with was a real adjustment but my body kinda got used to it - but there was obviously not such pleasant side effects.

After the year on zoladex (March 2019) I have just had my second surgery to remove the endometriosis scaring, in my pelvis, on my bowel, on my womb, opened the tube up. And I am now not on the zoladex.

I also had a mirena coil fitting during the surgery (March 2019)

When waking / the days to follow after the surgery 2019 I had awful hip pains (they believed from the stents)

And I just needed to keep flushing through my kidneys.

But now fast forwarding to 10 weeks on today from the operation I am still very weak, walking is ever so tiring for me and so much effort. I have this week (after driving for 3 weeks) just felt a bit more comfortable with driving (but only 30-40 mins drives) even the seat belt being across my hips was causing me pain. Sleeping on my hips are still tender including my pelvis region.

I just don’t feel myself.

I have spoken to my specialist she said it is due to the muscle mass loss and all my nerves (which I have definitely noticed) changing.

But please can someone (after my long story) tell me when does it get easier?

Because I am currently finding it difficult each day to know I am not the same person I was before / I have commitments that I not fulfilling currently.

Thank you Rachel

I have never had a laparoscopy, but I was told it takes two months to recover. Being in this much pain and discomfort over 3 months after surgery seems a bit excessive to me. Here in my country, as soon as endometriomas are found, you are referred to endo centres and get all endometriomas, nodules, deep-infiltrating endo on several organs removed during one surgery. You don't get opened up just to be closed again and re-opened a year later. Two surgeries in a year is too much for the body to handle. Also, who performed the second surgery? Was it an experienced and well-trained excision surgeon? Was a urologist present for surgery? What did the neurologist say regarding the nerves? A lot could be going on
