Hello, anyone who has had an mri, how long did it take to get your results and how did you get your results? Thanks xx

I've had a few MRIs and it has varied. It depends who ordered it. Usually my consultant has told me the results at my next appointment. If the results have been written on your record depending where you are your GP can access them and tell you. Can take up to two weeks sometimes if NHS. Same day if private. Sorry if that isn't much help it really depends on your consultant you could ring the secretary and ask. Good luck

It took me 8 weeks but that’s probably due to Christmas holidays at the time & I went to my own GP for the results. They had phoned me and asked me to come in ASAP x

My consultant gave me mine at my next appointment. Most results range from 1-2 weeks as it needs a specialist radiologist to review them and then someone to type the results on the database. Do you have a follow up?
