Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me I’m 23 and in August 2018 I had an ectopic pregnancy what ruptured my tube and during the removal of my filopian tube they seen my endometriosis. Since then I had another ectopic pregnancy in my only tube remaining in December and have since been told I need IVF and operations, after seeing my consultant on Tuesday they have told my because of the damaged cause by the endo to my bowl and other pelvic organs I would be advised to have the IVF before the operation as it could ruin any chance of IVF I have is this true as I have read the endo can cause a blockage??
Sorry for the rant I just feel like there’s no end to this thing.

I have endo stage 4 and had a laparoscopy last year. They removed one of my tubes, and told me IVF was my only chance to conceive. When I had surgery, the doctor said my endo situation was pretty bad, but if I wanted to try and conceive, it would be better to leave it as it is (any time they go in, they have to remove part of the uterus, ovaries or any organ that is affected by it, so it would be more difficult with operations) So, I would say your doctor is right. In my case, we went for IVF just after my surgery and it was a disaster, tried with two embryos and nothing. They were bad quality (endo affects it) Straight after, we tried IVF again. Just 1 embryo remained healthy enough to try. We did, and I found out I was pregnant.
What I'm trying to say -it takes time, but it IS possible. My doctors told me that my situation meant around 5% chance of conceiving, but here I am, almost 14 weeks.
Don't worry, luckily for you, you are still young (age benefits you in this case, as they can try different treatments to see what it works best for you). I'd also recommend switching to an "endo" diet (lots of fruits and veggies, gluten free, lots of water, no sugar or salt - I'd say a vegan/alkaline diet would be benefitial) and some exercise.
You'll get there. It's a painful path, but very rewarding at the end.
Hi thank you for replying and I will take up your advise with the diet. Congratulations I’m so happy to hear a happy ending to this endo hopefully I get there and thank you for giving me hope xx
