Recommendations for private London surgeons please?

Hello,

I’m 41 and just been diagnosed with stage 4 Endo. I have had terrible menstrual/infertlity issues throughout my life and seen a dozen gynaecologists and endometriosis was never mentioned... until 2 months ago. This was mainly precipitated due to new digestive trouble (pain from severe constipation and bloating).

I have had a laparoscopy to confirm diagnosis but they were not able to mobilise my bowels let alone do any excisions as the adhesions were so widespread, so they just removed a few large cysts and closed me up until I can find the right specialists to properly remove this mess.

I have done some research and so far found the Edward VII Endo Centre and the McIndoe Centre. Could anyone with experience of either of these centres or any other recommendations in London please private message me? I would appreciate any feedback as this is all so new to me and the pain is no longer manageable.

I’m very thankful for finding this site and seeing all of the support that is so generously given.

C

Thanks. I will look into him for sure. Does he work within an established endometriosis clinic? Thanks again.

That is very kind. I’ll be in touch once I have a plan agreed with someone. Thanks again.

Hi

I’m 49 and have suffered with Endo since my twenties , after 10 laparoscopies to remove cysts and keep being told nothing else can be done!! My womb and bowel stuck with terrible adhesions and my gynaecologist kept telling me he can’t risk operating and do a hysterectomy

I’d suffered for years! I can go on and on.

Finally earlier this year I was introduced to two amazing surgeons! One being a gynaecologist and one a bowel surgeon

They said they can do this operation

I can’t tell you how relieved I was! They are both at Guildford Nuffield in Surrey

Mr Kent the gynaecologist

Professor Rockall the Bowel surgeon

I had the major operation 20th August

Between them they parted my womb from my bowel and did full hysterectomy!

I’m finally free of this nightmare !

I strongly advice you to make an appointment with Mr Kent. Your life will change He will definitely help you with your condition

Hope this helps.
