Diaphragm endometriosis

Hi all I will keep this as short as possible but right now I feel totally lost . I have had endometriosis since I was 20 and I’m not 35 . I have had 5 operations to remove endometriosis once operation which they perforated my womb in 2012. Since this operation I started to get right shoulder pain and chest during my periods . Doctors constantly dismissed me even though for 7 years I have said something Isn’t right and asked if it was possible that the endometriosis had moved to my chest . Every time I was made to feel my assumption were stupid . After 3 years of trying for a baby this year I had to have ivf and I’m blessed to be currently pregnant. Last 5 months of pregnancy I have had severe chest pain, shoulder pain and breathless which ended up me going to hospital 6 weeks ago . They found I have a hole in my diaphragm and my liver has pushed through the hole so currently I have a diaphragm hernia . The worse part of this is on an ultrasound in 2013 when I was tested for chest pain I had a a tiny hole in my diaphragm which they failed to detect and they also failed to notice it in 2017 scan also. The conclusion currently is I have endometriosis on my diaphragm which has created a hole and my pregnancy has pushed my liver through it. Had they noticed the hole previously on my scans I wouldn’t now have a complete diaphragm split. I now will have to have chest surgey to remove endometriosis from my diaphragm and repair my diaphragm and their is now also a risk I have endometriosis on my lung because the hole has been present for such a long time which will potentially eventually cause my lungs to collapse. I have 5 weeks left of my pregnancy and I feel truly blessed to have a chance to be a mum but I’m scared I will have to be away from my miracle baby to repair this as well as that Long term affect on my life . I now will ever be able to have any more children but I’m ok with this but I want to be there for this one. Has anyone else experienced This or does anyone else suffer with chest and right shoulder pain during periods ?

I hope you are doing well. I know your post is quite old but I thought I’d reach out.

I’ve just been diagnosed with a diaphragmatic hernia and like you my liver has herniated. I’ve had severe endo for 30 years but they are saying that this is not related to my endo. Is yours on your right side? They are saying that it’s very unusual and that I may have had this for decades but I can’t help think endo might be responsible.

No pain for me so far as I’m on the mirena coil so infrequent bleeding these days.

We also had lots of ivf and we only have one child, our miracle is now nearly a teen.
