So I was on Zoladex in August 2017 to March 2018, I had the injection every 3 months. My life was normal and I had no periods!! Ifor the first 3 months I had the hot flushes and was struggling so was given HRT on the second injection. The constant pain came back straight away, the specialist said I could only have the injections for 6 months Max, so he sent me to a different specialist.
In June 2018 I went to see the new specialist who said I can have Zoladex for another 2 years max, In July I was given my first injection, I again I have this every 3 months. I was on my period and it soon stopped the day after. I thought yes this is it back to normal for 2 years, no more going on holiday and not being able to swim due to being so heavy. NOPE! I was back on my period a week after, the pain is manageable but in the evening its very strong, I first started light but was on my period for 2 weeks, I stopped for a week with slight back pain in the evening. Then I started again with full on pains for 2 weeks again. I stopped for a week and you guessed It started again this time for 3 weeks, it was very heavy for that time.. I had my second injection on the 10th October, I stopped 5 days after that. On Friday I started with Hip pain and dull back ache, today the pain is all over and I have come on again! I am really heavy today and had to change my pad more than normal.
So after my rant my question is has anyone else had this trouble on zoladex? My GP thinks it may because I am also on HRT from the start.I am worried with the amount of time I am on my period it feels like I am for 3 weeks at a time with a 1 week break, Is this normal for Zoladex?
Also I should add My specialist thinks I might also have Pelvic Congestion Syndrome, so I had a Pelvic MRI scan with the dye on Friday, don't have faith in the specialist giving me fast response as they have taken the mick in sending out letters..
