Suspected endo...

Hi all, I had my period for 26 days so was put on a pill to stop it and then birth control but nothing has changed, I’ve been on my period again for 20 days so far and it is unbearable. I have hardly left the house, I want to go back to my gp but feel they will tell me to ‘wait it out’ but I can’t wait 3 months to settle! Any suggestions would be appreciated xx

Rainbow I had long bleeds like this and during intercourse and I got referred to gynaecology who did a look under anaesthetic and it turned out I had an erosion of the lining of my womb it was just cells continually coming away in the form of a bleed.

It was heat treated, cauterised, this was in 2005 and I believe the term they may use is endometrial ablation now.

I felt like I was on a period in mood and using towels and sex worsened the discharge of blood.

This is just my experience and on no way am I saying you are the same, it's a possible cause.

I would demandoff your GP you are referred to gynae asap..

Bring in a support person with you if you need to have someone in with you for confidence.

Good luck hon

I will ask for a referral, hopefully get it sorted! I thought I was just crazy, but glad to hear people go through the same, thanks so much x

Yes you need answers you are not crazy. That kind of constant bleeding is a drain in Soooooo many ways.

Best of luck!
