My symptoms were IBS type symptoms, especially around the time of my period. Upset tummy, bloating, gas, also very painful internal examinations. Pain when going to the toilet, especially around the time of my period. Xxx

For me it’s backache, bloating and stabbing pains when going toilet in the days leading up to and during my period

I have two daughters who are 6 and 3. I had no symptoms prior to my first and was only diagnosed with endo shortly before falling pregnant with my 2nd due to a 5cm chocolate cyst being seen on an ultrasound. It’s now 4 years later and I had my 1st lap a month ago which diagnosed extensive endo on my bladder and bowel. I cannot say if it was present on those organs during either of my pregnancies but from what I’ve since read chocolate cysts only occur when endos quite bad so it’s possible it was ‘growing’ at the time of my 2nd pregnancy. I remember having crippling pain during the first trimester but I put that down to the cyst as at the time I was newly diagnosed and assigned every symptom down to the cyst. Hope this helps!

I have IBS symptoms. I get diarrhoea and constipation within the same day, each bowel motion is different, alot of bloating. Not able to eat much food at a time.. just sucks! All the best hun xx

Why not able to eat much food is it because of the bloating?! Or nausea

If you get constipation and diarrhoea please see your gp, it could be a symptom of “overflow”

I always had major bowel issues but during a lap in 2016 they found bowel endo on my left and rightside, so I had to wait another year for surgery with my endo specialist and colorectal. During that year I suffered from constipation, obstructions and I could hardly eat solid food, I lost 9kg (from 56kg to 47kg) and lived off a liquid diet and calorie drinks. During that time my pain was mostly on my left but apparently my right side was worse.

I had my op last August. Luckily they said it seemed to be contained to the service of the bowel. But since then I have had sharp right-side pains that make me collapse and I still have to be very careful with how much I eat. They think scar tissue may be affecting my bowel.

This is exactly what i have constipation and obstruction it is so so painful but for me maybe worse my bladder has issues also and ovaries

I hope at least that will not make me suffer from infertility by miracles 💔

I had a lot of endo removed from my pelvis when they found the bowel (so two years ago) it was on my Fallopian tube, most the abdominal wall, bladder, pelvic side walls, ligaments, rectum and my ovaries were stuck down among other things. When they went back in to do the bowel (a year later) most of it had remained gone thankfully!

The only time I ever experience bladder symptoms is when I am constipated, I think there’s literally no room for my bladder to fill up.

I’ve just had a big nodule excised from the bowel which was also stuck to my pelvic sidewall :( I had severe nausea so bad I couldn’t leave the house, cramps, I looked pregnant, couldn’t eat solid food, period pain after bowel movements, constantly needed the loo (8 times a day sorry tmi!), diarrhoea with ovulation... as well as all the other pains!!!! Xx

Nausea killed me I didn’t even do well in my college exam i was carzy and cried they even changed the room that should the exam be in because of me i got crazy i went to must of the doctors near to me no one could help me yesterday I couldn’t eat or drink

When i say severe nausea even drinking a little bit of water makes me nauseous

I lost 1 kg in just three days i am now 43

I became so skinny my weight was near to 50 kg😭 the college will start after this month because now we have summer vacation i have been thinking to stop the college for one year i just want my body to relief but I don’t want anyone in my family or friends notices that.

so stop going to the university is difficult for me i am scared because of the nausea last too long which is not normal

Hiya sorry to go hear what you are going through, I know how awful and debilitating nausea is. Mine wasn’t because of the pain it was brought on very severely by eating or moving. I would recommend asking the doctor for cyclizine or prochlorperazine. Try not moving when you’re particularly bad - I used to try and carry on and always ended up having horrendous vomiting that went on for hours. When I have endo I always get nausea - usually it is during menstruation and ovulation but this time it was just relentless and constant. And then extra bad episodes that went on for two hours where I’d be curled up on the floor feeling like I’d been poisoned and beaten up, and couldn’t move a muscle because I was feeling so sick. Definitely see your GP. Have you got pelvic pain too? May be time to ask for a referral xxx good luck and I can definitely recommend those two drugs and lots of fresh ginger tea. Also I lived off James white ginger zinger shots - concentrated ginger really helped the moderate level constant nausea. I also find that the anti inflammatory mefenamic acid has always helped my nausea too?!

When i talk with the doctors about the nausea and having endometriosis

They said they are not related if the pain constant and can happen out of period time

I get pelvic pain in the last day of my period this is something worried me because i don’t bleed in this day so I don’t know why this pain but i read it could be adhesions pains which makes me live in depression that i am infertility ohh 🤦🏻‍♀️💔

And Because before having the lap i have endometriosis pains on the first day of the period And my laproscopy was 4 years ago

Something helps me with nausea is changing my position if I lying in my bed i start walk my nausea becomes less and

When i have nausea when i am walking i lying in my bed nausea becomes less

But always there

But as you know it is impossible to do that during the exams 😭

Well endo and nausea are definitely related - if you search for nausea on this forum there are so many posts where ladies are suffering from severe nausea. It’s my main symptom and worse than the pain. You are entitled to a medical second opinion remember!

Pelvic pain for me was constant, not just during my period. It may be that if endo is there the disruption of a period causes pain after your period too. I always have pockets of blood in my abdomen which contributed to the pain and nausea, so it may not necessarily be adhesions! Sounds like you need another gynaecology referral and a scan...

Sorry to hear this is affecting your exams. I used to work in university exams and students with medical issues affecting their ability to concentrate (could be anything from endo to eating disorders) would submit something called a “factors affecting performance” application so the exam board knew to take the medical issues into consideration and would adjust marks accordingly.

I would recommend you talk to your gp about a referral, request anti emetic drugs (and if they refuse, ask to see another doctor), and also discuss the issue with your college as they will have some policy in place to help support you. Good luck xxx
