Update after horrible gyno

So I thought I would share with anyone who took the time to comment on my last post.

I had my follow up with my dr today and it went better than I had hoped. She was sincerely apologetic that I had a horrible time at the gyno. She updated the symptoms that were recorded, the fact that there was anything to add means to me that the detail that should have been in there was not put by gyno. She asked me what specialist I WANTED to see instead of just telling me where I was going. She then put in a referal for that specialist. She gave me a med for my bladder, and told me if it doesnt work she will refer me to a urologist. She promised me that we would get to the bottom of my issues. She did not imply that anything was to do with my weight or elevated blood pressure. She also immediately transferred my BC prescription to her office so I will have no issues with that. I told her I would make some diet improvements to help with this new med and I promise myself that I will do it. I told her she was telling me exactly what I had hoped for.

I know I am very lucky to have been listened to even at this point. Alot of women literally are not referred to specialists for years. I do not take the access that I have to medical care (Canada) for granted. I feel hopeful about my situation again. I am actually looking forward to my next drs apt. I hope everyone can get the help they need.

I plan on posting how the new med works for me.

I’m glad you have finally found a good doctor, it took me 7 times to find a good gynae haha in the space of a year. Xx

I have been lucky to have a great GP who has always listened to me. He doesn’t downplay my issues and has always made good referrals. I m also thankful for the Canadian health system.

On July 10 I will finally have my follow up with my GYN who did my lap.

Good luck with your lifestyle choices. I took up yoga to try to help with my pelvic floor issues etc.

Thnak you for your reply yes I think we have our issues but overall our system is really great. I am going to make a good effort to eliminate coffee save for an ice-cap occasionally, and will be loosing the 20 pounds I need to and want to. I feel better with all this already :)
