I didnt have a 'meeting' as such. I met my gynea, then was sent to see a colorectol surgeon then it took a couple of weeks from then til surgery. I had to have a urologist present but didnt meet him/her prior! It was all fairly fast. They decided against any proper investigations (colonoscopy, mri ect) and went in blind. They was also very unprepared. What was put down as intermediate surgery turned to major surgery in theatre. 6 hours later i was left with a catheter and abdominal drain. My 'overnight' stay extended to 3 days. Make sure they know what theyre dealing with before they go in. My surgery didnt help at all! Xx
