I am having my surgery this week and I have to be on a special diet starting on Wednesday as I have bowel endometriosis.

It is called low residue diet... anyone have to do this?

Any advice? I’m worried I’m going to eat something I should not!

Hello, I have to do this when going for colonscopies - if you look up NHS Colonscopy preparation/guidance it should have a list of things you can and can't have

I had one of these before I had to have a barium screen. They should have sent you a diet sheet out. I seem to remember it was a lot of bland, white foods. No red meat but chicken and fish was OK. Soup was OK. White bread yes but no wholemeal or seeded.

If you are unsure call up and see if they can email you the diet sheet over. Good luck!
