Ever feel like the doctors etc just think you are a drama queen? like the pain cant be that bad and no one is actually listening to what you are saying?

I feel like that all the time, it took about 2 years of being in agony before i finally convinced a doctor to refer me but i had to point blank refuse to leave the appiontment until they did, then my gnye discharged me and every gp i now see for painkillers doesn't know what endo is really so think im just playing up the amount of pain im in! Its such a struggle but i guess we just have to keep pushing for help, no one desrves to be ignored and told all the pain is in their head instead of getting help

Every singe gp ive seen, ive been told "its all in my head", "you only have stage 1 so the pain cant be that bad" "im not referring you to a pain clinic because they will just get you addicted to morphine" finally have been referred to pain clinic but told by 3 gp under no uncertain terms will they prescribed me whatever is suggest as "endometriosis pain isnt that severe" "ive never heard of anyone on morphine for endometriosis" and the same "youll just get addicted to morphine" the have also put up the excuses that because I am a mother and a student nurse about to qualify I cannot be on morphine because it wont be safe. I always feel like the doctors dont listen to me when I say the pain is the same as labour contractions, sometimes worse! But of course they think im just a drug addict looking for something to get high on instead of actually relieve my pain. In my experience gp have zero knowledge on endometriosis and I have had to correct them quite a few times when they are wrong, probably why they dont like me now 😂 x
