I know I’m

In the hospital as probably could ask a nurse but I want it from the horses mouth so to speak. You ladies who have had laps , how long did it take for u to be on your feet and being able to walk? Walk to loo. Make a coffee. And travel? I’m expecting to have to fly home on four days will I be fit for it?

hi. Hope you have good pain relief and are resting up. I had extensive surgery on the Wednesday afternoon and they had me up and about on the Thursday morning. I did feel woozy but it turned out my Bp was low. I was out bye the Saturday and moving around comfortable if a little gingerly. I'm afraid I don't know about flying you should probably ask a nurse / doctor for advice.

peppermint tea is brilliant for the gas and give yourself time to recover I didn't the first time and I paid the price.

good luck. Xx

Hi

I had a lap and was on the table for 4 1/2 hrs. Was only in hospital overnight. Was able to shuffle about to make a brew etc the day after. Took weeks to feel "normal" again though.

Remember everyones recovery is different, don't overdo things! You know your limits. Hope you feel better soon x

I think it varies. My laparoscopy was a day case was in for a few hours and was out the hospital a few hours later. Could walk a very short distance. Sittong up from lying was more of a killer. After 3 days I was more comfortable but still very tired after a week I was 100%.
