had a series of blood tests done last week, which now my anxiety is through the roof. CA125 which ive had before and was elevated but it did drop down. the others are CEA, AFP, HCG, CA119. IVE phoned the gynacologists secreatary and she said they are in and will not discuss with me, im seeing the gyne next month anyway which was booked last year. do you think if anything was wrong with thease bloods they would be in contact with me ? please help im at my wits end, not slept for 2 nites.

Hey my mums a nurse if it was anything serious such as cancer or something sinister they SHOULD call you in within the first 2 weeks I had an ultrasound and waited 2 months for results thinking they hadn’t found anything to be told I had a cyst on ovary but because it wasn’t serious that’s why I didn’t get contacted early just because they don’t call you in early doesn’t mean they haven’t found anything but they will only call you in within the first 2 weeks if it’s serious. so try not to worry too much I know it’s hard though hope everything goes ok and this helps xx

If they have been requested by the hospital and not your gp your gynaecologist is the only person who can tell you the results anyway, even if they were with your gp but gyny requested them your gp wouldn’t be the one to tell you, it’s better to not hear anything really but if it’s stressing you out this much ring the gynaecologist back and tell them how worried you are and see if you can get an early app x I’ve got to wait for mri results from feb till next month they won’t give me them early so I no how u feel x
