The Government are reviewing what should be included in the new Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) curriculum. We want Menstrual Wellbeing to be included. We want to overcome the stigma, taboo and embarrassment of talking about periods with all children, and for girls to know what’s ‘normal’, and what isn't, so they seek help. It takes 7.5 years on average to get a diagnosis of endometriosis. 1 in 5 women have heavy menstrual bleeding, but many don't seek help and continue to suffer because they don't realise it may be treatable. Many are too embarrassed to talk about periods. This has to stop.
