No endo found but adhesions

Hi everyone

Just recovering in hosp after lap! No endo found but they did find scar tissue/adhesions. Anyone else experienced this? Don’t really know much about it so any advice would be great!

There are apparently different types of adhesions and endo ones are different to others. I would be wanting to ask if it was biopsied and if so was it confirmed as endo in origin though I don't know if that's done routinely. It is also apparently possible for endo to spontaneously heal sometimes or become inactive.

Thank oh so much for your reply. They didn’t state if they’d taken a biopsy. I did get the feeling they weren’t telling me everything so I am thinking of requesting my notes!

One dr said adhesions can be the cause of my pain, the other said it wouldn’t! That doesn’t sit well with me!

Hi Emma. I hope your recovering well after your lap. They found endo and adhesions in my lap but didn’t tell me if these were endo adhesions or from previous surgery. Can I ask if you have had previous ops?

When I was in recovery a male dr told me the endo wasn’t the cause of my pain because it was mild but widespread (bowel, bladder, POD) yet when a dr came to see me before being discharged she told me that the stage of endo doesn’t correspond with the pain levels. So i completely understand your confusion. I hope your ok and get answers x

Hiya,

I’ve had one previous surgery a few years ago but under surgeons for a ?appendicitis. He said it could be caused from when I had a burst ovarian cyst. It’s very frustrating!! Sorry to hear you to are frustrated!! X
