Hi. i’m Charlie, i’ve been suffering with what i’m guessing endometriosis as i’ve had this abdominal pain for like over a year. However, as i’m only 16 - i’m getting tired of waiting around, i’ve been to multiple ultrasounds and they can’t see anything. They’ve given my IBS tablets which haven’t helped in the slightest, they put my on conception to try and help - and it hasn’t. sometimes, it’s so severe i start throwing up and get chronic heartburn. i’m come to the point where i’ve given up, it’s affecting my education.
Does anyone have any ideas, as they will be much appreciated! Many Thanks!

I was given treatment for IBS and all other sort of things, it was only when I actually told the doctor this is what I think it is and he googled it and the google page told him to refer if they suspect it and then I got referred. Just keep going back, that’s what I’ve done and be forceful. It also helps to take someone, I’m 23 but I’ve had problems for years and they took me more seriously when I had my Mum with me. I think they think just cause we’re young we can be fobbed off with tablets!
Go to your gp and ask for a referral to a Gynacoligy Hun , I’ve had pain for 5 years and it’s started getting really bad now I’ve being put on some tablets called Norethisterone it’s helping with pain now they’ve put me on it while I have surgery but ask your doctor if you can go on it , it really helps xx
Hi hunny, I was exactly like you and I’m still in the same boat I’m 18 and in my first year of uni I’ve been getting this pain since I was 15 and I’ve only just been told I’m allowed the laparoscopy doing however they keep cancelling it, can you not ask to be referred to a Gynacologist?x
They kept telling me that it was IBS related I had every test done and thing showed up anything, if they won’t refer you to a Gynacologist try get referred for an MRI, they can show up endometriosis ish just depends where it could be x
