I am afraid your message has been cut off. However, I do sometimes get pains and pressure feelings like that with bowel movements, I also get a lot of trapped wind. I have endometriosis and adenomyosis. I am wondering whether the endo and adeno in my reproductive organs are somehow pressing on the bowel causing the pain and pressure during bowel movements or when I have trapped wind. The only thing that seems to help is peppermint. I have a peppermint tea and mints. Some people say peppermint capsules can help, haven't tried those. I am having a hysterectomy soon which although I know doesn't cure endo, it does cure adeno and I am hoping that will help with the pressure on the bowel. However, I am not suggesting you have adeno as it is possible endo alone can cause bowel problems. Sorry to hear about this and hope you feel some relief.

Thank you for your reply cherry78, I have had pain in before from my bowels or bladder, but nothing like this, I felt like I was in giving birth, the pressure was really bad and the pains are indescribable, I feel tender and bruised down below now, I have been bleeding for 3 weeks and having alot of pains, I had a colonoscopy last year and they said my bowels are clear, how do they diagnose adeno

Sorry to hear this. In my case, my gynae suspected I have adeno from my most recent laparoscopy where my uterus looked bloated and spongy. This has been backed up by a recent private ultrasound scan which uses the latest equipment, where again the signs point towards adeno with my bloated uterus. However, the only way to be 100% certain you have adeno is after a hysterectomy but by then it is too late if it turns out you haven't got it! Adeno can cause heavy, prolonged bleeding and lots of pains like you describe but I am not a GP, it could be something else entirely that needs urgent treatment so I would get it checked out asap to rule out other things first. I hope you find out what's causing it and get the treatment you need as soon as possible.
