I finally had my lap op, in the operation they found that my rectum is tethered to my cervix and vagina. I’m wondering if anyone else suffers with this ?
I really want to know if this will cause fertility problems ? Sorry forgive me but I just can’t seem to find out if endometriosis in general causes fertility problems or what area it effects.
They found a lot of endometriosis on my bowel also but this was removed in the op. I have an appointment in December so I can’t get answers to all my questions that are running through my mind until then.
Any advice would be amazing !!

There is no real way to know if your fertility is affected until you try. Some ladies with severe endo get pregnant quickly, and some with mild endo struggle and need help, or never manage to conceive with help. It's a funny disease that isn't yet fully understood by doctors.
I had endo scattered everywhere apart from my bowel and tubes. One of my ovaries was adhered to my pelvic wall. before finding this out I tried to conceive for 2 years before I fell pregnant, then miscarried. Another year later I'm still not pregnant again. I have just had my endo removed and everyone says that generally that increases fertility. We will see if it works for me or if we will need help.
Having endo can affect fertility in different ways. Adhesions can stop organs from moving freely and can trap the egg preventing it getting to the Fallopian tube, it can cause damage to the egg and there is also some thinking that the endo releases chemicals/toxins or something that again effects the egg and/or fertilisation.
If your ovaries and tubes are ok, you might be one of the lucky ones. Good luck.
