SI came on my period on Wednesday advertising experiencing some spotting had to take thursday/Friday off work my symptoms were the usual but new ones were I couldn't empty my bladder and my bladder hurt, I now feel like I have a water infection.

Now I stopped bleeding on Friday afternoon but still have the pain this is normal for me but tonight I have a big shooting pain up my bum, I usually get these when I'm bleeding and need to go to the toilet but they are usually really bad shooting pains that make me forget how to breath. Tonight's pain is constant and sitting down really hurts, I also have really sore legs that feel like I can't keep still, also feel like they are growing pains I'm 30 so defos not growing, I'm just a bit worried as I had I think a really bad ovary pain as well. Has anyone had anything like this.

Hiya missm87, I had a week of this in Jan...I could barely walk and the only way to stop the pain was to curl up into a ball and not move....for me is was a feeling of constant pressure...it hurt to sit down, it made it feel like it was putting more strain on whatever was bloated on me on the inside...I only had ibroprofen at the time...had bad pain on right side (felt like something was rupturing) didn' t know at the time but have cyst on right ovary...so must have been that...but don't think ponstan would touch it as I've had a similar symptoms a few weekends and couldnt find anything to relieve it...I've had the not being able to pee or it hurting when ive had the bloated pressure feelings....its so uncomfortable.....feel so bad for you as it is just a constant feeling with no let up...I get the shooting pains up my bum too had that all of yesterday and the day before had finished my period last week....I don't remember having any leg symptoms...have your symptoms let up since you wrote this? X

Hi Andy17, thank you for responding.

My legs were hurting all night, I had to take some paracetamol, i would of took codeine but I exceeded my 3 days with it. It was the first time it's ever affected my legs. It was a horrible kind of pain though. I've woke up and make it in into work yay! but i still have the really bad pain in the side and my bum pain has gone but now i have the heavy feeling down there with sharp pains up my bum and vagina. I'm waiting for a date for my laparoscopy, i wish it would hurry up. When i went to see the gynecologist she mentioned the pouch of douglas might have endo on but i dont really know what the pouch of douglas is or what its there for?

I cant take ibuprofen asi have ibs and my tummy just doesnt like it one bit :(

Can your doctor prescribe a pain killer to get you through till your lap? I'm on ponstan it's better than ibroprofen for me but doesn't always work..fair play for making it into work it can be a real struggle sometimes....Yeah I know the heavy feeling your on about....its like when 1 symptom goes something else pops up...think the pouch is between the uterus and rectum...don't know what it does either....I'm having my first lap in 11 days....I'm shitting myself...but excited to get a diagnosis at the same time it's weird...I hope you get your date soon....I was told my date in September....how long are you waiting for it so far? Hopefully your day goes quick in work x

I got referred my lap on 31st October i have my pre assessment for it on 23rd november, so i don't know how long you wait between then and the procedure and if they tell you at the pre-assessment a date?

I got offered naproxen but that again isnt kind on the tummy, I just have to save my codeine for really bad days. Just using my heat up microwavable owl today, burnt my tummy so much over the last few days.

I would be excited too to get a diagnosis i think i'm going to be more nervous whether or not they find anything, as i dont know what happens then.

thats all the info i can find of pouch of douglas, have no idea of what its purpose is.
