Options?

Hi all,

Bit of background about me: After 17 years of miss-diagnosis and me just 'powering on through' I finally had a diagnostic lap in August 2016. During the op they found endo all down my left side which they burnt off. They left a tricky section which is sticking the tube which runs from my kidney to my bladder to my large intestine.

Since my op I have had 7 months of Prostap injections, followed by 6 months of Esmya tablets (technically used in the reduction of fibroids, however my consultant has prescribed them for many of this Endo patients as it stops it reoccurring too quickly).

I have my next appointment on Tuesday 7th November and am just wondering what other treatment options are out there? I don't particularly want to go back on the pill as after 15 years of that I realised how badly they affect my mood. My consultant mentioned contraceptive patches as they don't cause such noticeable affects on your mood.

I would love to hear what treatments you lovely ladies are on currently or what has worked for you in the past?

Are you being seen at a bsge centre?

No, I’m under the nearest consultant to where I live that has experience with endo.

If you have bowel involvement then you need to be seen at a bsge centre. x.
