Afternoon,

Due to the endometriosis, a lot of the past 6 years has been spent having various scans and tests to determine what's going on - as I'm sure many of you know.

At one stage, I was having ultrasound scans every month for about six months. On every single one, they found at least one cyst on my ovaries. 99% of the time it would be more than one, but nevertheless, there they were, every single month. They never did anything for these, and just said that I get them every month. No explanation as to why or how they got there, just "meh it's something you get every month". Great.

I just wanted to know, is it normal to get cysts every month with endo? Or is this something else I need to look into?

Thanks

Em :)

Have you ever been told that you have polycystic ovaries? I would think the two conditions (endo and pcos) could exist together, but that's just my thought... I'm not in any way an expert.

I've never been told I have it, but have been told it's a possibility, but they never took it any further or explored it. Is it worth asking them to look into this again?

Thanks

Worth asking when you see your gynae I would have thought. Knowledge is power and all that.
