I've been on Zoladex for around 5 months. My pain had decreased significantly but I'm not coping with the hot flushes. They are unbearable. I'm not sleeping and I feel as if I'm having a heart attack sometimes as they are that intense. I've had to start HRT but within days of taking it my pain has come back and the hot flushes are no better. I'm really struggling and would welcome any advice etc. I've only had 6 tablets of the HRT and so I'm hoping that soon the pain will decrease again and the hot flushes do one! Thank you

Sounds to me like the Zoladex is not working out for you dear
I was on HRT for months after the hysterectomy but I was still getting endo symptoms so stopped taking the HRT and started feeling much better, but it has still been a long haul back to good health. Sadly, HRT is going to help the endo along to some extent.
I think the only way is to come off the HRT and look for natural methods of coping with the menopausal symptoms, but avoid those that involve eostrogen rich foods such as soya.
You didn't say if you had had surgery to remove endometrial growths. The thing is that endo also produces its own oestrogen, so it sort of feeds itself and therefore may cause ups and downs of oestrogen levels. Also overgrowth of candida in the gut can be a problem as that also produces oestrogen and is encouraged to grow by it. So it is likely to occur in women with endo. A low carb diet will help get rid of candida, but the candida will make you feel awful and crave carbs whilst it starts dying (thing hangover and flu at the same time, for about a week).
Try sage tablets and red clover tablets for hit flushes they can work wonders I know people who swear by them. Get them off Amazon I use linens. The sage helped a bit but the 2 together is more effective. I came off zolodex after 5 months and the hrt after only 4 as they made other symptoms worse. I'm not a zombie now.
