I have been suffering from extreme period pain and heavy bleeding since I can remember. Last year the pain was beyond anything I'd felt before. After seeing my gp I was told it was most likely a cyst and if the pain goes away its nothing to worry about. January this year the pain returned leaving me bed ridden for weeks. I decided I needed answers so returned to my gp who referred me for an ultrasound. No cyst. But called into see my gp within days and was told they found a form of endometriosis on the outside of my womb lining. Since then I have received my gyno referral which will be 1st June. I have been in extreme pain , taking time off work, losing sleep, over sleeping and feeling depressive.
Tomorrow I plan to call my gp in order to receive more info and help. I also have a meeting with my manager as I am in need to temporarily drop a few hours at work due to exhaustion and depression.
Is it possible to get a letter from the doctor about my condition before having a full diagnosis through laparoscopy?
Any info would be fantastic.

Sorry you're suffering so much. Endo really can only be diagnosed via laparoscopy. I'm sure your gp can write a letter saying you have symptoms which are highly consistent with endo. If you're bleeding so much (I've been there!) maybe ask for blood tests to check your iron levels as it could be causing anaemia.
If you're so tired, it's going to affect you in so many ways. Reducing your hours sounds like a good idea.
