I have been diagnosed with endometriosis and fibroids 4 months ago. I am currently on Esmya treatment for the fibroids but nothing has been done for my endometriosis yet. I have an appointment with an endo specialist this Tuesday, I'm hoping something more substantial can be done other than managing my pain with painkillers. I have been having a lot of pain in my back passage, and get constipated when on my period. I was diagnosed with a frozen pelvis and wondered if this could be affecting my bowels? Or could it be endometriosis on my actual bowel?
What has anyone experienced with this? I need to discuss it with the specialist on Tuesday. Any advice greatly received.

Hello. I have a deep nodule attaching my cervix to my bowel. I had a sigmoidoscopy consult with colorectal specialist and MRI to find out if the Endo had penetrated the bowel wall or not.
I have deteriorated since my diagnostic lap in December and am currently gradually looking at / facing up to the need for surgical excision as my next option but the risks are significant and it is a big decision to make.
Any surgery must be done by a multi disciplinary team operating under BSGE standards
The section on deep recto vaginal and recto sigmoid endo surgery here may be of use.
