I found prostap didn't work on my adenomyosis at all including the 3 weeks of bleeding each month and severe pain. For me zoladex worked completely. With the first injection I had a flare up in pain which was worse than normal, bleeding continued into the second month but stopped on the third injection. Hope that helps

I have adenomyosis and I am on it at the moment. I've been on it for 3 weeks. Had pain and bleeding in the first couple of weeks which at the moment has settled and I'm doing OK although I'm a little anxious that it could come back at any time. I've also had decapeptyl which wasn't entirely successful and didn't stop my periods. In theory, if it stops your bleeding, you should get some reduction in pain.
